Police Report: Hunting Rabbits; Mental Holds; Scott Walker Sign Damaged

  • A person was arrested at 8:45 a.m. Tuesday in the 200 block of Madison Street.
  • A pro-Scott Walker sign was reported damaged at 9:20 a.m. Tuesday in the 2400 block of Willowood Drive.
  • A mirror was keyed in a men’s room at 10:47 a.m. Tuesday in the 1300 block of South West Avenue.
  • An identity theft incident was reported at 12:17 p.m. Tuesday in the 2300 bock of Kensington Drive.
  • A caller, who hung up before giving more details, told police a man was shooting at rabbits at 1:23 p.m. Tuesday with a rifle in the 300 block of Downing Drive. Police checked the area and did not locate anyone hunting rabbits.
  • A theft of cash and credit cards was reported at 1:49 p.m. Tuesday in the 300 block of East Broadway.
  • A portable generator was stolen during a burglary at 2:01 p.m. Tuesday in the 900 block of Silvernail Road.
  • A theft of a cell phone was reported at 3:41 p.m. Tuesday at Waukesha North High School.
  • A political petitioner was reportedly causing problems and blocking the entrances to the Waukesha Public Library at 4:05 p.m. Tuesday, becoming aggressive toward some customers. The man decided to leave the library after being warned about his behavior.
  • A person was arrested on a warrant at 4:32 p.m. Tuesday in the 300 block of Dodie Drive.
  • A theft of a GPS from a vehicle was reported at 4:51 pm. Tuesday in the 2400 block of Springdale Road.
  • A vehicle caught on fire at 5:30 p.m. Tuesday near Chevoit Chase and East Racine Avenue, but everyone was out of the car. The driver attempted to start the vehicle and noticed it was burning.
  • A woman was arrested for battery at 7:27 p.m. Tuesday in the 2300 block of Benjamin Court.
  • A woman was taken into custody after it was reported she was suicidal at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday in the 1500 block of Big Bend Road. The woman was found in a vehicle near a bank parking lot with a gun in her hand, but she complied with officers commands.
  • An arrest was made after a juvenile trouble incident was reported at 10:02 p.m. Tuesday in the 1200 block of East Moreland Boulevard.
  • A bar in the 2400 block of North Grandview Boulevard reportedly had loud noise at 12:28 a.m. Wednesday.
  • A woman was taken into custody on a mental hold after it was reported she tried to jump from a bridge into the Fox River at 2:14 a.m. Wednesday in the 900 block of Clinton Street.
