Police Report: Grocery Cart Incident; Arguing Over Christmas Shopping

  • A person was arrested on a warrant at 11:15 a.m. Sunday in the 1000 block of Oakland Avenue.
  • A woman reportedly was pushing a cart full of merchandise and leaving it in random spots in Walmart at 12:25 p.m. Sunday. Management tried to give the cart back to her, so she started yelling about her check and throwing merchandise. The woman left behind a cart with half-eaten food and damaged goods that she did not pay for and the store wanted her removed. The woman called dispatch later to report that the Walmart staff embarrassed her and knocked beads out of her hands.
  • People were arguing about Christmas shopping at 1:16 p.m. Sunday in the 1200 block of Fleetfoot Drive.
  • A person was cited for harassment at 1:18 p.m. Sunday in the 500 block of Lake Street.
  • A person reportedly threw a candy rack and a Christmas tree to the ground at 1:41 p.m. Sunday in the 100 block of East Broadway.
  • A person was warned at 1:54 p.m. Sunday for stealing recycling at East Newhall and South Hartwell avenues.
  • A truck and building were damaged at 4:07 p.m. Sunday in the 200 block of Maple Avenue.
  • A person was arrested during a traffic stop at 4:07 p.m. Sunday at Coral Drive and Highway 164.
  • A person was arrested at 4:31 p.m. Sunday in the 300 block of East Main Street after it was reported that an intoxicated man was causing a disturbance.
  • A person was arrested during a traffic stop at 5:31 p.m. Sunday at Baird Street and South West Avenue.
  • A theft incident was reported at 5:37 p.m. Sunday in the 2700 block of Burton Drive.
  • A large group of juveniles were arguing over a shirt at 6:56 p.m. Sunday in the 100 block of East Broadway.
  • A person was arrested at 7:51 p.m. Sunday in the 700 block of John Street after police checked the area for a wanted person.
  • A woman, who told police she was having an affair with her daughter’s husband at 9:26 p.m. Sunday, reported that she was fighting with the man in the 1000 block of Delafield Street about sex. The woman also told police she was pregnant. Police noted the woman has mental issues.
  • A person was arrested on suspicion of intoxicated driving during a traffic stop at 11:40 p.m. Sunday at Delafield Street and Summit Avenue.
  • A person was arrested on suspicion of intoxicated driving at 1:27 a.m. Monday in the 900 block of Clinton Street.
  • An arrest was made at 1:33 a.m. Monday in the 1900 block of Madera Street after a neighbor heard two men arguing and glass breaking.
