Police Report: Grave Flowers; Vehicles Egged; Stolen Gift Cards

Grave Flowers Not Suspicious

An elderly man who was placing flowers on his wife’s grave at the Prairie Home Cemetery Monday night found himself the subject of police attention after a caller reported a suspicious vehicle at 9:26 p.m.

The van was driving around the cemetery with the headlights off, according to the caller, who thought the incident was suspicious. Police found the elderly man, who told them he was placing the flowers on his wife’s grave because Tuesday was her birthday.

  • Vehicles were egged overnight in the 1700 block of Rempe Drive. The incident was reported at 12:09 p.m. Monday.
  • A theft of Visa gift cards was reported at 1:20 p.m. Monday at Waukesha Memorial Hospital.
  • A theft of checks from the mail was reported at 1:31 p.m. Monday in the 1700 block of Pearl Street.
  • A theft from a vehicle was reported at 1:57 p.m. Monday in the 100 block of Corrina Boulevard.
  • A domestic disturbance was reported at 2:25 p.m. Monday in the 100 block of South Washington Avenue.
  • An arrest was made at 2:34 p.m. Monday after it was reported two individuals were screaming and swearing at East Park Avenue and North Barstow Street. They matched the description of a report of two intoxicated men who were disorderly at the Waukesha Public Library at 2:20 p.m. Monday.
  • A man in the 2000 block of South Grand Avenue at 4:48 p.m. Monday reported receiving harassing phone calls from a blocked phone number.
  • Two people were arrested at 6:18 p.m. Monday at Madison and Bank streets.
  • An uncontrollable 12-year-old boy was taken into custody at 6:32 p.m. Monday in the 1300 block of Dopp Street.
  • A vehicle in the 1400 block of Oakdale Drive was reportedly egged at 6:33 p.m. Monday.
  • A 14-year-old girl was taken into custody at 11:18 p.m. Monday after it was reported she was smashing up a house in the 700 block of John Street.
  • A man was reportedly throwing eggs at cars at 12:35 a.m. Tuesday in the 300 block of East Broadway.
