Police Report: Get a Text, Phone Calls 9-1-1; Men Sneak Into Buchner Pool

Waukesha Police Department calls from July 10.

It kind of makes you want to know what the text messages said and how smart a cell phone really is.

A man told police that every time his phone receives a text message, the phone dials 9-1-1. Officers made contact with the man after dispatch received a 9-1-1 hang up call in the 2200 block of East Moreland Boulevard at 1:34 p.m. Sunday.

The man told police he shut off his phone and contacted the phone company.

In other Waukesha Police Department calls:

  • A man was arrested for disorderly conduct at 9:03 a.m. Sunday after it was reported he was throwing things in a residence in the 300 block of Crestwood Drive.
  • A car hit a pole at 2:52 p.m. Sunday at Northview Road and North Grandview Boulevard.
  • A young child reportedly was throwing rubber ducks at a window at 7:28 p.m. Sunday in the 200 block of Carroll Street.
  • A person was arrested during a traffic stop at 9:41 p.m. Sunday at Buckley and Baxter streets. A drug recognition expert was called to Waukesha Memorial Hospital and the driver’s vehicle was towed from the scene.
  • A person, who was wearing a swim suit, was cited by police and released after it was reported at 11:12 p.m. Sunday that three men had snuck into Buchner Pool and were using the diving boards and were being noisy.
