Police Report: Fighting Over Cigarettes; Federal Agents Chasing Woman?

  • A theft of a GPS from a car was reported at 2:06 p.m. Sunday in the 300 block of Sheffield Road.
  • Two windows were smashed at 3:08 p.m. Sunday in the 200 block of Maple Avenue.
  • A backpack with school supplies and insurance paperwork were stolen from a vehicle parked in the 1100 block of Gertrude Street.
  • A woman threw a cell phone at her fiancé when she found out he had been cheating on her for two months in the 400 block of South Greenfield Avenue. Police determined there was no criteria for a domestic disturbance arrest, which upset the man involved.
  • A woman was banging on the door of a funeral home at 6:11 p.m. Sunday because she believed federal agents were chasing her in the 1100 block of South Grand Avenue. The woman was advised that no one was chasing her and was sent on her way.
  • Mail was stolen from the 1000 block of Dresser Avenue but a sledder found the mail at Dopp Park and returned it.
  • A woman had wanted a ride from police from a gas station in the 500 block of South Grand Avenue to The Women’s Center at 7:12 p.m. Sunday. The woman was gone before police arrived and the manager at the gas station felt the woman had been using drugs.
  • An arrest was made after a truck was found on the edge of a retaining wall at 7:46 p.m. Sunday in the 1900 block of East Main Street. The vehicle had been involved in another accident earlier.
  • Intoxicated people were fighting over cigarettes at 7:55 p.m. Sunday in the 400 block of Wisconsin Avenue. Neither person wished a complaint.
  • A rock was thrown through a garage window at 7:59 p.m. Sunday in the 200 block of Fountain Avenue.
  • CDs and a cell phone charger were stolen from a car parked at 9:09 p.m. Sunday in the 1700 block of Saratoga Road.
