Police Report: Fighting Over a Woman; Stolen Games

Waukesha Police Department calls from Sept. 11 and Sept. 12.

  • Two people were cited after it was reported a group of people drinking beer at 10:29 a.m. Sunday at Grandview Park.
  • A person was arrested for retail theft at 11:43 a.m. Sunday in the 2400 block of Kossow Road.
  • Police arrested a man after it was reported that he left Waukesha Memorial Hospital at 2:26 p.m. Sunday shouting that he was going to kill police officers, which was possibly an attempt of suicide by cop. Police arrested the man near Carroll University on North Grand Avenue. The man also had significant medical problems when they took him into custody.
  • A group of juveniles who reportedly were swearing and smoking on the playground at 4:14 p.m. Sunday at Roberta Park were warned by police. The only adult at the park was unable to describe with specific details the children’s bad behavior.
  • A girl was given options and told to talk to her school resource officer after it was reported that a group of girls physically attacked her at 4:33 p.m. Sunday in the 200 block of West Laflin Avenue because she was talking to one of the girls’ ex-boyfriend. Police also advised the girl to stay away from the ex-boyfriend because of his gang affiliations.
  • A person was arrested on a warrant at 4:49 p.m. Sunday in the 1900 block of South Grand Avenue.
  • A mental patient wearing a gown fled from the emergency room and was running around the hospital at 4:55 p.m. Sunday. Police were canceled from coming to Waukesha Memorial Hospital after hospital security got the man back in his room.
  • A person was arrested after it was reported that juveniles lit a fire at 5:05 p.m. Sunday and were trying to extinguish it at Grandview Park.
  • More than $2,000 worth of gold was reportedly stolen during a burglary to a home at 7:08 p.m. Sunday in the 1000 block of Delafield Street. The caller told police she believes she knows who is responsible.
  • Police cleared and checked a house at 7:30 p.m. Sunday after a caller reported they thought someone was in the house in the 600 block of Minaka Drive. Nothing was missing or disturbed in the house.
  • An intoxicated man was advised about his behavior at 7:34 p.m. Sunday after a neighbor problem was reported in the 1500 block of Wolf Court.
  • Juveniles were reportedly swimming in Buchner Pool at 8:07 p.m. Sunday. Police walked through the park and did not locate anyone.
  • Police were asked to make a check on a house at 8:13 p.m. Sunday at Dixie and School drives. The occupant is being evicted and there had been reports of him doing yard work in his underwear and peering at neighbors.
  • Two people were arrested after it was reported that a girl was babysitting and the people were refusing to let the girl leave at 8:14 p.m. Sunday in the 500 block of Elizabeth Street. The girl’s father told police he told the girl to not go to the house because of drug use and that he wanted her locked up because she ran away. The girl also was arrested and taken to juvenile intake.
  • A suspicious man reportedly was peering into a window at 8:20 p.m. Sunday in the 800 block of North Greenfield Avenue. When confronted by the house resident, the man said his vehicle was broken into and then took off on foot.
  • A person was punched in the face at 9:55 p.m. Sunday because he had a drink with a new neighbor girl that another man called “his” in the 1200 block of The Strand. The man did not file a complaint.
  • A person was arrested during a traffic stop at 11:38 p.m. Sunday at Davidson Road and East Main Street.
  • Games were stolen from an unlocked apartment at 11:48 p.m. Sunday in the 100 block of Third Street.
  • An intoxicated woman who was crying while walking down the road at Perkins Avenue and East Main Street told police at 12:46 a.m. Monday that her boyfriend left her on the side of the road during an argument. A friend came to pick up the woman.
  • A person was arrested on suspicion of intoxicated driving at 2:45 a.m. Monday during a traffic stop at East Racine Avenue and Highway 164. The person had two prior drunken driving arrests.
  • A person was arrested during a traffic stop at 3:03 a.m. Monday in the 700 block of Maple Avenue.
  • A trailer was reportedly stolen over the weekend from the 1500 block of East Racine Avenue. The theft of the heavy tree trimming equipment was reported at 6:29 a.m. Monday.
