Police Report: False Shooting Report; Car Theft

Waukesha Police Department calls from Aug. 10 and Aug. 11.

A woman was arrested on obstructing an officer and operating while intoxicated at 12:57 a.m. Thursday in the 2000 block of Kensington Drive after she reported that her window was shot out by a gun while she was in the car. The woman’s back windshield wiper broke the window and she told police she didn’t know what to do so she told them it was shot out. The woman reportedly had a .181 percent blood alcohol concentration.

  • A truck reportedly was tagged with graffiti at 10:07 a.m. Wednesday in the 900 block of North Grandview Boulevard.
  • A 20-year-old man was removed from his mother’s house and warned by police to not return at 10:47 a.m. Wednesday after he kicked a hole in the wall because his mother wouldn’t let him order a pizza in the 2000 block of Stonehaven Court.
  • A theft of a 1995 red Honda Civic from a parking lot in the 1300 block of East Main Street was reported at 2 p.m. Wednesday.
  • A man was arrested after it was reported he was found passed out by a business at 4:25 p.m. Wednesday in the 2500 block of North Grandview Boulevard. The man was transported to Waukesha Memorial Hospital and Probation & Parole was contacted.
  • A man was arrested on a warrant at 6:09 p.m. Wednesday in the 300 block of Sentinel Drive.
  • The theft of a motorized scooter was reported at 7 p.m. Wednesday in the 1600 block of Legend Hills Lane.
  • A security camera was smashed by a man with a baseball bat at 8:40 p.m. Wednesday in the 300 block of East Main Street.
  • Juvenile intake and Health and Human Services were requested by police to respond to the 1400 block of Big Bend Road after a person reported there was an “overwhelmingly foul odor” coming from an apartment unit where two adults, three children and several animals resided at 8:53 p.m. Wednesday.
  • A man was arrested on a warrant after a verbal argument was heard by neighbors at 9:38 p.m. Wednesday in the 1800 block of Shepherd Court.
  • A caller reported a possible drug deal in the works at 10:28 p.m. Wednesday after hearing someone say “I will be back, I have to go get it” in the 1600 block of Summit Avenue. Police made contact with the alleged suspect, who informed officers that she was talking about picking up a dog from the kennel.
  • A woman who had a .171 percent blood alcohol concentration reported that she had been robbed at 11:22 p.m. Wednesday in the 800 block of Lincoln Avenue. Police responded and determined there were inconsistencies in her statements. The woman confessed she made up the story because she wanted to draw attention away from her in a potential disorderly conduct case from that night because she had been arguing with her ex-husband in a bar and punched a wall in the bar. Police did not cite or arrest the woman but advised her they would if the bar made a complaint.
