Police Report: Engagement Gone Badly; A Very Long Walk

Waukesha Police Department calls from Jan. 9 and Jan. 10

  • A theft of a vehicle was reported at 7:08 a.m. Monday in the 2100 block of Kensington Drive.
  • An arrest was made after a theft from a vehicle was reported at 7:39 a.m. Monday I the 2500 block of Pebble Valley Road.
  • A theft of wheels and tires was reported at 9:13 a.m. Monday in the 1400 block of East Juvenile Boulevard.
  • A juvenile reportedly walked from Mequon to Waukesha in the 1700 block of Hunter Road where the juvenile was at 10:54 a.m. Monday after fighting with his parents. The parents were contacted.
  • Graffiti was reported at 3:40 p.m. Monday in the 1100 block of Delafield Street.
  • A 14-year-old boy was arrested after it was reported he was yelling and swearing at 3:51 p.m. Monday at the Waukesha Public Library.
  • Graffiti was reported at 4:41 p.m. Monday in the 800 block of West Moreland Boulevard.
  • A very intoxicated man wearing a Minnesota Vikings was warned to compose himself after it was reported that he had fallen several times and urinated in the 1900 block of Bonnie Lane at 5:38 p.m. Monday. The man told police he was trying to get his engagement ring from his fiancée because things were not going well.
  • A man was detained on a warrant at 7:41 p.m. Monday at the overflow homeless shelter at 1721 Northview Road. The man previously had been involved in a verbal argument at 6:42 p.m. Tuesday in the 1500 block of Summit Avenue.
  • A person was arrested on suspicion of intoxicated driving at 9:28 p.m. Monday in the 1600 block of East Main Street.
  • A woman was reportedly throwing things at a window at 10:47 p.m. Monday in the 100 block of West Broadway. The woman was gone upon police arrival.
  • Four arrests were made after a narcotics violation was reported at 10:51 p.m. Monday in the 1300 block of Fleetfoot Drive.
  • An arrest was made after a battery was reported at 12:28 a.m. Tuesday in the 900 block of Northview Road.
  • A person who had run away from a squad car was advised to go to bed at 1:54 a.m. Tuesday after the male told police he had been in an argument with his mother.
  • An elderly woman who was having some mental issues told police her caretaker was stealing items at 5:45 a.m. Tuesday in the 400 block of North Washington Avenue. The woman also told officers that the toy dolls in her cabinet were speaking to her and were making too much noise. Police spoke with the woman’s son, talked to him about different option, and advised them both on the proper use of 9-1-1.
