Police Report: Cooking a Cow; Bicyclist Crashes into Concrete Pole

  • A 10-year-old girl was warned about the proper use of 9-1-1 at 8:24 a.m. Sunday in the 1900 block of Kensington Drive. The girl’s mother had asked her to bring the mother the phone, the girl did but not before throwing a fit, calling 9-1-1 and hanging up.
  • A person was arrested after it was reported he was found with marijuana and a pipe at 9:12 a.m. Sunday in the 900 block of Summit Avenue.
  • A person set a small campfire in the woods at 9:27 a.m. Sunday in the 100 block of Cambridge Avenue. The person did not speak English, so his niece told police that her uncle was cooking cow and didn’t to stink up the apartment. The camp fire was extinguished and the person was advised.
  • A theft of a camera that was in a briefcase in an unlocked trunk was reported at 10:02 a.m. Sunday in the 400 block of North Grand Avenue.
  • A man reportedly left a funeral and had been drinking at 2:39 p.m. Sunday in the 200 block of North Moreland Boulevard. The vehicle was gone before police arrival.
  • A girl in the 100 block of Corrina Boulevard reported at 4:35 p.m. Sunday that she swerved from a vehicle while bicycling and she crashed into a concrete pole.
  • A caller in the 100 block of Cambridge Avenue reported at 8:20 p.m. Sunday that a woman from New Zealand took pictures of the caller’s son on a page making fun of deceased babies. The woman was made aware by police that any pictures she posts on Facebook can be made public.
  • An intoxicated woman was arrested at 10:47 p.m. Sunday after it was reported she was fighting with staff in the 800 block of North East Avenue.
  • Juveniles who were found at 12:16 a.m. Monday in the 200 block of South Street were escorted home.
