Police Report: Car Batteries Stolen; Destroying Engagement Ring

  • A theft of medication was reported at 10:58 a.m. Monday in the 100 block of West Broadway.
  • Batteries were stolen from vehicles at 12:27 p.m. Monday in the 1700 block of Pearl Street.
  • A vehicle was reported by a citizen to be traveling at 100 miles per hour on the freeway at 1:38 p.m. Monday near Meadow Lane and North Grandview Boulevard. The vehicle was gone before police arrived.
  • A theft was reported at 1:41 p.m. Monday in the 600 block of East Broadway.
  • A theft from a vehicle was reported at 2:01 p.m. Monday in the 400 block of Bethesda Court.
  • A man reportedly was throwing rocks at cars while arguing with a woman at 3:09 p.m. Monday in the 1800 block of South West Avenue. The man was gone before police arrived.
  • A wallet was stolen from a vehicle that was parked at 3:22 p.m. Monday in the 500 block of Bethesda Court.
  • A engagement ring was reported missing at 4:03 p.m. Monday in the 400 block of West College Ring. The ring was lost during a game of Frisbee golf in late August.
  • A person was arrested at 4:02 p.m. Monday in the 2200 block of West St. Paul Avenue after a retail theft was reported.
  • A college student who was found unconscious in a dorm room at 4:06 p.m. Monday at South East and East College avenues was admitted into the hospital. The woman fell off her bed, had a bottle of medication in her pocket and was vomiting.
  • A hit-and-run accident was reported at 4:34 p.m. Monday at Madison Street and South Washington Avenue.
  • A woman was given options after she reported at 4:44 p.m. Monday that she feared her ex-husband has been looking at her e-mails in the 1800 block of Waterview Lane. The woman had no proof but told police she didn’t know how he knew details about her life. Police noted that the children regularly go to their dad’s house.
  • A car window was shot out with a BB gun at 4:45 p.m. Monday in the 300 block of Crestwood Drive.
  • A possible domestic disturbance was reported at 4:46 p.m. Monday in the 200 block of Wisconsin Avenue.
  • A man who had some mental issues reported at 4:56 p.m. Monday in the 1500 block of Cherrywood Drive that a person was beaming an electronic device into is house. The man wished to speak to an officer over the phone because he believed the Waukesha police officers would respond to his house, kill him and cover it up. Police planned on contacting the man’s psychologist.
  • A 9-year-old called police at 5:53 p.m. Monday to report that someone stole her shirt in the 1300 block of Fleetfoot Drive.
  • A person was arrested for a retail theft at 5:57 p.m. Monday in the 2300 block of Bluemound Avenue.
  • A fight was reported at 6:14 p.m. Monday in the 400 block of West Newhall Avenue.
  • A pair of football cleats were stolen over the weekend and reported at 6:29 p.m. Monday in the 1200 block of South Grandview Boulevard. A neighbor boy had stolen the shoes and returned them.
  • A bicycle was reportedly stolen at 6:50 p.m. Monday from the 1000 block of Irving Place.
  • Graffiti was tagged on a garage at 7:50 p.m. Monday in the 600 block of South Grand Avenue.
  • Hunting gear and a BB gun were stolen from an unlocked vehicle at 8:05 p.m. Monday in the 100 block of West Wabash Avenue.
  • A person reportedly was revving an engine at 8:36 p.m. Monday in the 1400 block of Oakdale Drive. The person was advised.
  • A person was arrested after a domestic disturbance was reported at 8:40 p.m. Monday in the 100 block of Cambridge Avenue.
  • A man reportedly was looking into an apartment window at 8:51 p.m. Monday in the 1900 block of Bonnie Lane. The man was gone before police arrived.
  • A vehicle apparently was entered at 9:12 p.m. Monday in the 400 block of West Dunbar Avenue.
  • People who were on the train tracks to “creatively dispose of an engagement ring from (a) broken relationship” where warned about their actions at 10:27 p.m. Monday at North Hartwell Avenue and East Main Street.
  • A house and vehicles were egged and the victim believed it happened because of a Facebook dispute at 10:40 p.m. Monday in the 1000 block of West Moreland Boulevard.
  • Broken eggs and streamers were found at 11:04 p.m. Monday in the 300 block of Greenmeadow Drive after it was reported that three males were throwing things.
  • A person was arrested at 12:55 a.m. Tuesday at Carroll Street and North Grand Avenue.
  • A man who previously had attempted to steal knives from Walmart was warned to stay off the property at 4:31 a.m. Tuesday.
