Police Report: Bethesda Elementary School Vandalized; a Bird's Nest; Drunken Man Finds Wrong House

Waukesha Police Department calls from May 12 and May 13.

A Waukesha resident got a scare when an intoxicated man accidently entered the wrong home early Friday morning.

A caller reported to police that an unknown man was in the house at 1:51 a.m. Friday in the 100 block of Fourth Street. The caller was locked in the bathroom as an added protection from the man. Police responded to find the intoxicated man.

The intoxicated man was shown the correct house, where his father took custody of him. No complaint was filed.

  • Bethesda Elementary School was vandalized, which was reported to police at 6:37 a.m. Thursday. Food was dumped all over the floor and words were painted on the floors.
  • A person reported to police at 7:53 a.m. Thursday in the 1300 block of East Moreland Boulevard that an unknown person was placing flowers on top of his porch light. Police investigated and determined birds had made a nest.
  • A theft of an iPhone was reported at 10:02 a.m. Thursday at Waukesha Public Library.
  • A car was egged and reported to police at 10:46 a.m. Thursday in the 200 block of South Grand Avenue.
  • The theft of a dishwasher from an apartment by a tenant was reported at 11:49 a.m. Thursday in the 1900 block of Dixie Drive.
  • A man was reportedly urinating on the side of the Waukesha Public Library building at 1:12 p.m. Thursday.
  • A person was arrested for disorderly conduct at 2:20 p.m. Thursday in the 1900 block of Wall Street.
  • The theft of coins was reported at 2:49 p.m. Thursday in the 600 block of North Barstow Street.
  • A juvenile was arrested for violating homebound detention rules at 3:34 p.m. Thursday in the 400 block of West Newhall Avenue.
  • A person was arrested on a warrant at 4:44 p.m. Thursday in the 1800 block of East Sunset Drive.
  • A police assisted a 2-year-old who separated from siblings while playing at 5:48 p.m. Thursday in the 200 block of West Newhall Avenue.
  • Drug activity reportedly was happening at 5:43 p.m. Thursday in the 2700 block of Albany Court.
  • A person was arrested on a warrant at 10:51 p.m. Thursday in the 200 block of Waverly Place.
  • A person was arrested after a fight was reported in a bar at 1:02 a.m. Friday in the 900 block of Friedman Drive.
  • Police were asked to respond to a church parking lot at 1:54 a.m. Friday for a report that a couple was potentially engaging in sex in a car in the 800 block of North East Avenue. The vehicle was gone when police arrived.
