Police Report: Battery; Egging Cars; Swerving for Raccoons

  • An arrest was made after a woman came to a residence in the 11:32 a.m. Sunday in the 600 block of Lincoln Avenue screaming about her ex-girlfriend trying to kill her. The ex-girlfriend was arrested after police took a battery complaint.
  • A vehicle was egged at 12:03 p.m. Sunday in the 400 block of Jackson Court.
  • A person reported having problems with his vehicle egged and air being let out of the tires at 1:09 p.m. Sunday in the 300 block of Coolidge Avenue.
  • A person was cited for operating after suspension at 1:37 p.m. Sunday at Baird Street and South Grand Avenue.
  • An ambulance was called after a car accident was reported at 3 p.m. Sunday at East Moreland Boulevard and East Main Street.
  • An altercation between a man and a woman was reported at 5:21 p.m. Sunday at a gas station in the 400 block of West Sunset Drive. No complaint was filed.
  • A woman reported at 8:27 p.m. Sunday that a person walked up to her window and knocked and that her mailbox was knocked over in the 1400 block of Fox River Parkway. No complaint was desired.
  • A driver reportedly was weaving in the middle of the street at 9:03 p.m. Sunday in the 2000 block of South West Avenue. Police conducted a traffic stop on the vehicle and learned the driver, who was not intoxicated, had swerved for a raccoon.
  • An arrest was made at 10:10 p.m. Sunday after police received a 9-1-1 call about a disorderly, intoxicated man in the 100 block of Fountain Avenue.
  • Two arrests were made after the theft of iron castings from a recycling bin was reported at 11:52 p.m. Sunday in the 2200 block of Pewaukee Road.
  • An arrest was made at 1:29 a.m. Monday after three subjects were observed by dispatch on the OptiCop camera, throwing a beer can and damaging a tree and sign on the city sidewalk at West Main and Clinton streets.
  • A theft was reported at 7:47 a.m. Monday in the 1100 block of White Rock Avenue.
  • Items were stolen from a vehicle at 8:44 a.m. Monday in the 800 block of Harding Avenue.
