Police Report: Armed Robbery; Football on Roof; Carrying the Constitution

Waukesha Police Department calls from Aug. 31 and Sept.1.

  • A building was tagged with graffiti at 12:47 p.m. Wednesday in the 400 block of West Newhall Avenue.
  • A woman reported that she believed her soon-to-be-ex-husband installed spyware on her computer at 2:24 p.m. Wednesday in the 2800 block of Sussex Lane.
  • A deer was killed by a vehicle at 2:40 p.m. Wednesday at West St. Paul Avenue and Harris-highland Drive.
  • A person was arrested for a theft at 3:03 p.m. Wednesday at Walmart.
  • An apparently confused person called 9-1-1 for “Dr. Drake” at 3:09 p.m. Wednesday. The Waukesha Fire Department assisted the woman.
  • A person was taken to the hospital for  a possible neck injury after a three-car accident was reported at 4:37 p.m. Wednesday in the 2300 block of North Grandview Boulevard.
  • People were advised about the safety of climbing on the roof of Prairie Elementary School after the football they were playing with was stuck on the roof at 5:43 p.m. Wednesday.
  • Five teens reportedly was swimming in the pool at 5:51 p.m. Wednesday at Buchner Park, which was closed for the season Saturday. The teens were not able to be found when police arrived.
  • A man reported he was parked at Roberta Park when his girlfriend’s sister drover her bicycle into his car and then punched him in the back at 7:41 p.m. Wednesday. The man left the park and then told police he did not want to file a complaint.
  • Teens reportedly ordered ice cream cones and then smacked an employee at 7:43 p.m. Wednesday in the 800 block of Meadowbrook Road. Police contacted and warned the teens and told their parents. The teens said they were playing a prank called “coning.”
  • A woman reported that three people in another vehicle followed her to work at 10:42 p.m. Wednesday and started yelling at her. The woman did not know who the people were.
  • The Clark Gas Station at 1436 E. Moreland Blvd. was robbed at 11:04 p.m. Wednesday.
  • Two people who previously asking if the Clark Gas Station was open were interviewed by police at 1:19 a.m. Thursday at Cleveland Avenue and East Moreland Boulevard. The people had a backpack, which had magic cards, and they told police they were asking a friend to pick them up from the grocery store parkig lot.
  • A police officer interviewed a person who was wearing dark clothing after the robbery was reported at the Clark Gas Station. The person was not the suspect, but was not cooperative with police and was carrying a copy of the U.S. Constitution. Police explained to the man why he was being questioned at 1:27 a.m. Thursday at Jennifer Lane and East Moreland Boulevard.
  • A person who vomited on the sidewalk after attempting to slam a beer at 1:49 a.m. Thursday in the 300 block of West Broadway was warned by police. The bar owner also was advised to begin closing the bar.
  • An intoxicated man who was passed out near a dumpster was arrested at 2:44 a.m. Thursday in the 200 block of Madison Street.
