Police Report: Animals Let Out of Cages; Verbal Argument Over Green Card

Waukesha Police Department calls from April 27 and April 28

Animals were let out of cages at a pet store in the 2100 block of Silvernail Road, according to the Waukesha Police Department call log.

The incident was reported at 9:23 a.m. Wednesday. There was no sign of forced entry, but the store was in disarray.

In addition to the animals being let out of the cages, items were placed on the floor and the manager’s office was gone through, according to the log.

  • A van window was shot out at 8:36 a.m. Wednesday in the 2500 block of Lancaster Drive.
  • Graffiti was reported on a bus shelter at 9:46 a.m. Wednesday at Pebble Valley Road and North University Drive. The shelter previously had been tagged with similar paint.
  • A flashlight was stolen from a vehicle that was parked in the 2800 block of Chancery Lane at 9:54 a.m. Wednesday.
  • A mailbox was smashed for the fifth time since November at 10:32 a.m. Wednesday in the 2000 block of Wolf Road.
  • A person was arrested after a possible domestic disturbance was reported at 11:49 a.m. Wednesday in the 1000 block of Delafield Street.
  • A criminal damage to property incident was reported at 2:14 p.m. Wednesday at Butler Middle School.
  • A disorderly conduct incident was reported at 2:16 p.m. Wednesday at Butler Middle School.
  • A woman was arrested for retail theft at 2:21 p.m. Wednesday in the 100 block of East Sunset Drive.
  • A possible counterfeit bill was reported at 2:25 p.m. Wednesday in the 200 block of East Sunset Drive.
  • A person was arrested on suspicion of intoxicated driving after a reckless vehicle was reported to be driving into oncoming traffic at 5:42 p.m. Wednesday at Silvernail Road and North Grandview Boulevard. A drug recognition expert was called to the scene.
  • A car was keyed at 7:07 p.m. Wednesday in the 2100 block of East Moreland Boulevard.
  • An arrest was made after a possible burglary was reported at 7:51 p.m. Wednesday in the 1600 block of South West Avenue.
  • A Waukesha caller reported that their 16-year-old received what they perceived as a threatening phone call at 8:54 p.m. Wednesday. The person on the other line stated that the person was on the way to the 16-year-old’s house. The suspicious caller turned out to be an alderman in Franklin who dialed the wrong number.
  • Children were reportedly playing ding dong ditch at 10:22 p.m. Wednesday in the 4000 block of Stillwater Circle.
  • Two arrests were made after  a man reported he believed his 17-year-old son was having an underage alcohol party at 11:36 p.m. Wednesday in the 1600 block of Wolf Meadow Court.
  • A residence was egged at 12:03 a.m. Thursday in the 1100 block of Madison Street. Police pulled over an elderly driver who was traveling the wrong way at 12:15 a.m. Thursday at West Moreland Boulevard and Delafield Street. The woman told police she was driving to a hearing aid appointment. Police contacted the woman’s relatives, who picked her up.
  • A man locked himself in a room and called police during a verbal altercation with his wife at 12:56 a.m. Thursday. The woman was reportedly upset with the man for using her for a green card. The woman was given options and support numbers for help.
