Police Report: 2 Calls About Walker Recall; Leaves Burning – not Marijuana

Waukesha Police Department calls from Nov. 21 and Nov. 22.

  • A person was arrested on suspicion of intoxicated driving at 6:28 a.m. Monday at Haymarket Road and Waterview Lane.
  • A verbal argument between a laundry store owner and a woman over the woman’s use of the bathroom was reported at 10:59 a.m. Monday in the 1300 block of South West Avenue.
  • A fraud incident was reported at 11:51 a.m. Monday in the 2900 block of Buckingham Court.
  • A fraud incident was reported at 11:52 a.m. Monday in the 2900 block of Buckingham Court.
  • Recall Gov. Scott Walker promoters were asked to leave the Walmart property at 12:25 p.m. Monday. It was reported that when the Walmart staff start to approach them by the exit, they ran across the street and started asking people to sign the petition at the traffic lights. No report was filed.
  • A possible fraud case was reported at 12:31 p.m. Monday in the 1700 block of Pearl Street.
  • A person reported at 12:34 p.m. Monday being upset that people promoting Scott Walker’s recall were video taping license plates in the parking lot at Waukesha Public Library. No report was filed.
  • Flagpole lights were smashed out at 1:59 p.m. Monday in the 1200 block of East Racine Avenue.
  • A person reported at 2:07 p.m. Monday smelling marijuana in the 100 block of South Porter Avenue. Police responded and smelled leaves burning. No complaint was filed.
  • A mentally disabled man was taken into custody after he became disorderly during a van ride and hit the driver several times at 3:59 p.m. Monday in the 2300 block of Oakdale Drive. No complaint was filed and the man’s mother picked him up.
  • A woman, who appeared to be suffering from mental problems, told police at 4:19 p.m. Monday that she believed her ex-boyfriend burglarized her apartment and stole two pairs of thong underwear in the 2400 block of Springdale Road.
  • A person was arrested for theft at 6:10 p.m. Monday in the 1500 block of East Moreland Boulevard.
  • Graffiti was reported at 7:28 p.m. Monday in the 1700 block of Oakdale Drive.
  • A fake $20 bill was found on the ground at 9:39 p.m. Monday in the 200 block of Madison Street.
  • A bank card was stolen and fraudulent purchases were made on it at 9:54 p.m. Monday in the 1400 block of Big Bend Road.
  • An apartment manager and a tenant who lived in the same building were having a verbal spat about noise levels at 12:08 a.m. Tuesday in the 1900 block of Madera Street.
  • A 21-year-old man was warned about his behavior after it was reported that his grandparents were having issues with him following the rules at 12:31 a.m. Tuesday in the 1200 block of Summit Avenue. The man was attempting to catch up on bills, but his grandparents were upset because he wasn’t paying rent and wasn’t taking care of his dog.
  • A person was arrested during a traffic stop at 2:06 a.m. Tuesday at Arlington Street and North Grand Avenue.
