Dumpster troubles, possible bike chop shop and rocks and eggs thrown

The following is a brief summary of police calls from Wednesday, June 15, to Thursday morning, June 16.

Noise complaint: Residents in the 1800 block of Kensington Drive were advised about excessively loud music and arguing when neighbors called to complain Thursday at 1:45 a.m.

Eggs thrown: A resident in the 200 block of West Wabash Avenue reported that someone threw eggs at her house, damaging a window screen Wednesday night at 10:20 p.m.

Stay out of traffic: A man, described to be wearing all black clothing, was advised to walk on the shoulder of the road after he was seen walking in traffic in the middle of East Main Street, 1900 block.

No smoking: Four people smoking cigarettes in a car were advised and asked to leave after it was reported to police that they were smoking marijuana in the car which was parked in the 500 block of Bell Street Wednesday at 7:51 p.m.

Bike chop shop? A man in the 100 block of Cambridge Avenue called police Wednesday 5:02 p.m. to report that he has an ongoing problem with bike frames being discarded in his dumpster.

Punctured tires: A resident in the 1100 block of Green Valley Drive reported that tires on her truck were punctured six times sometime between Sunday night and Monday morning of this week.

Dumpster driving or hit by a truck? A possible hit-and-run reported at Spancrete, 1324 National Ave., that damaged the building may have been a dumpster rolling from a neighboring businesses. After reporting to the call about damage to the building, police found a dumpster nearby with fresh imbedded concrete on its side.

Rocks thrown: Juvenile trouble was reported behind Butler Middle School in the 300 block of North Hine Avenue, Wednesday at 3:15 p.m. when four children on bikes ages 9 to 13 were reported to be throwing rocks at the school. The kids told police they were throwing rocks at a dumpster. There was no damage. The children advised about their conduct.

More rock throwing:  A group of boys, ages 10 to 14, were advised about their behavior after it was reported that some children were seen screaming, yelling, swearing, climbing trees and throwing rocks at a metal tower in the 2100 block of Davidson Road Wednesday 2:50 p.m.
