Police Investigating Armed Robbery in Parking Lot

Waukesha police captain says suspect displayed a gun.

The Waukesha Police Department is investigating an armed robbery that took place in a parking lot west of the Post Office in the 300 block of East Broadway at 12:22 p.m. Monday, according to Waukesha Police Capt. Dennis Angle.

Angle said in a news release that the suspect displayed a gun and fled in a vehicle. No one was injured in the incident but the suspect took off with an undisclosed amount of cash.

Police officers conducted a search of the area but did not locate the suspects. Authorities are describing the first suspect as a Hispanic man with dark hair and a goatee between age 30 and 40. The man was wearing gray T-shirt, khaki knee-length shorts and a red baseball hat. Police do not have a description of the second suspect.

The vehicle is described as a black, four-door with mismatched hubcaps, according to Angle. Anyone with information is asked to call 262-524-3820.
