Police Find Child Pornography on Waukesha Man's Phone, Complaint Says

Joseph D. Brezina, 35, of Waukesha, faces up to 45 years in prison if convicted of possessing child pornography.

A 35-year-old Waukesha man is accused of having child pornography on his iPhone when investigators were search his home on Tuesday.

Joseph D. Brezina was charged Wednesday in Waukesha County Circuit Court with three counts of possession of child pornography. If convicted, he faces up to 45 years in prison and $300,000 in fines.

Waukesha detectives investigating child pornography traced an IP user known to be sharing pornography to Brezina’s home on Cottonwood Drive, according to a criminal complaint.

The Waukesha Police Department search Brezina’s home on Tuesday after obtaining a search warrant. Child pornography was located on Brezina’s iPhone 5, according to the complaint.  Detectives searched Brezina’s computer and a memory card and found files that were indicative of child pornography, but the images were removed.

Brezina told police he had searched for child pornography because he wanted to see if it really existed, according to the complaint.
