Police Department Holds Prescription Drug Collection Event

The Waukesha Police Department, among other local agencies, will be participating in the U.S. Drug Enforcement Administration’s seventh National Pharmaceutical Take Back Initiative on Oct 26, 2013, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. This initiative will be a collaborative effort with state and local agencies focusing on removing potentially dangerous pharmaceutical controlled substances from our medicine cabinets.

The City of Waukesha Police Department welcomes any Waukesha area residents to bring in their unused or unwanted prescription pills to the front lobby of the Police Department. Members of the department will be there to provide a convenient and responsible means of disposal at no cost. It is also our goal to educate the general public about the potential for abuse of these medications.

The Waukesha Police Department is located at 1901 Delafield Street in the City of Waukesha.
