Outlaw Charged Friday With Armed Robbery in Waukesha

Jordan Outlaw, 24, told investigators he committed the crime to help his sister with rent and to pay the Illinois Department of Corrections, criminal complaint states.

A 24-year-old Waukesha man, who has the last name "Outlaw," found himself as an outlaw after he allegedly robbed a Waukesha convenience store at knife point Tuesday, according to a criminal complaint.

Jordan V. Outlaw was charged in Waukesha County Circuit Court Friday with one count of armed robbery and one count of felony intimidation of a witness for robbing Fox River Market, 279 W. Main St., Tuesday. If convicted, he faces up to 50 years in prison and $125,000 in fines.

According to the criminal complaint, at about 4:30 p.m. Tuesday, Outlaw walked into the store and asked for a pack of cigarettes. He then placed a black bag on the counter of the store, pulled out a knife and demanded the attendant give him all his money.

Outlaw was able to collect about $400 from the robbery and then told the attendant he would kill him if he told anyone about the robbery, the complaint states.

On Wednesday officers tracked down Outlaw at a residence in the 300 block of west Main Street, the complaint states, where he was found hiding in a closet. Outlaw admitted to robbing the store, telling officers he needed the money to send to the Illinois Department of Corrections and to help his sister with rent, according to the complaint.

Outlaw is currently being held in Waukesha County Jail on $50,000 cash bail. Β
