Update: No one Injured After Gun Fired in Waukesha Apartment Building

Incident remains under investigation.

Update, 1 p.m. Monday: The suspect who police say shot a rifle into an apartment Sunday night has been transported to a mental health facility for evaluation before authorities forward a charge of recklessly endangering safety is forward to the district attorney’s office, according to Capt. Ron Oremus.

From the news release:

Through the investigation Waukesha Police learned that the suspect involved in last night's shooting fired one round from the .22 caliber rifle into the peep-hole of the apartment. He did not summon the tenant in any way before firing the round. There was no known ill-will between the suspect and the subject living in the apartment.

Authorities are not identifying the suspect at this time.
