No Injuries Reported in Apartment Fire on Baxter St.

A neighbor noticed the large amount of light from the fire and called 911.

No one was injured in a multi-family building fire early Thursday morning after a neighbor called 911 after noticing a large amount of light from the fire, according to a news release from Battalion Chief Joe Hoffman.

The was dispatched to the fire at 1083 Baxter St. at 2:39 a.m. The fire was on a second-story porch and into the attic. Fire crews quickly brought the fire under control after working with the police department to verify that everyone was safely out of the building, according to Hoffman.

The damage was limited to the exterior of the building and the interior of the attic. Police and fire officials are still investigating and a cause and damage estimate has yet to be determined.
