A Waukesha man is accused of having nearly 500,000 pornographic images on two computers at his West Dunbar Avenue, according to a criminal complaint filed in Waukesha County Circuit Court.
Kevin L. Peeples, 38, was charged Monday with child sexploitation and 10 counts of possessing child pornography. He faces up to 175 years in prison and $1.1 million in fines if convicted. Bail was set at $250,000.
A Waukesha detective learned an IP address that was eventually traced to Peeples was sharing child pornography online on July 12. The detective was able to view the files and determined that the files contained child pornography, according to the complaint.
The Waukesha Police Department executed a search warrant at the West Dunbar Street home Aug. 15 where they found a Peeples’ desktop computer and laptop computer. The laptop had more than 250 videos and 10,000 images involving child pornography, according to the criminal complaint, and the desktop had more than 450,000 child pornography images.
Peeples admitted the computers were his and also admitted to downloading mainstream movies. However, anytime child pornography was brought up, he changed the subject.
