Milwaukee Man Charged with Selling Heroin to Undercover Waukesha Officers

Suspect allegedly accompanied a woman who he made do the deal in exchange for heroin.

A 24-year-old Milwaukee man is facing charges after he was caught trying to sell heroin to an undercover police officer at a Waukesha business, according to a criminal complaint.

Michael J. Mccollum was charged in Waukesha County Circuit Court Friday with one count of conspiracy to manufacture and deliver between three to 10 grams of heroin and one count of conspiracy to manufacture and deliver between 10 and 50 grams of heroin. If convicted, he faces up to 40 years in prison and $150,000 in fines.

On June 13, the officer arranged to purchase $500 worth of heroin from a woman at a Waukesha business. The woman, who was accompanied by Mccollum completed the deal.


On Wednesday, officers arranged to purchase $1,000 worth of heroin from the woman as well, but she told the officer her supplier would only trust her with $800 worth of the drug. Mccollum accompanied the woman to the deal again and both were arrested with officers finding the money used in the deal in Mccollum’s pocket.

While being questioned by investigators, the woman told officers Mccollum agreed to give her heroin for completing the deal with officers.

Mccollum in currently being held in Waukesha County Jail on $50,000 cash bail. The complaint states he’s also under investigation by the Milwaukee Police Department for making threats against officers and trying to obtain the home addresses.
