Complaint: Man Punches Stranger at Bar
Suspect knocked a man out cold at Master Z's because his friend thought he called him a derogatory name, according to criminal complaint.
A Waukesha man is facing charges after he sucker punched another man at Master Z’s after his friend claimed the victim called him a derogatory name, according to a criminal complaint.
Kyle J. Christenson, 25, was charged in on Friday with one count of battery.

At 1:52 a.m. Nov. 5, Christenson was coming back from the outside smoking area of the bar when his friend said the victim – who hadn’t made contact with them the entire night and didn’t know the men – called him a derogatory name. Christenson then ran back to the victim and punched him in the side of the face.
The victim said he didn’t know he was punched until after he woke up and people told him what happened. Witnesses said they hadn’t been talking about Christenson and they were just having a conversation when he came out of nowhere and punched the victim.

Christenson had a blood alcohol level of 0.22 percent at the time of the incident.
He will make his initial appearance in court Feb. 13.
