According to the criminal complaint, officers were called to Helgeson’s apartment for a possible domestic disturbance and, after searching the residence, discovered two bags of marijuana, a 12-gauge single barrel shotgun and a box of shotgun shells.
While checking the closet, the complaint states, an officer discovered a small door giving access to a crawl space, which Helgeson had hid himself in. The officer brought in a canine unit and ordered Helgeson to come out. According to the complaint, Helgeson then came out of the closet and then tried to walk back in until he was stunned with the Taser unit.
