The suspect involved in a standoff Tuesday for hours with police had actually left before officers arrived, but the 52-year-old man eventually turned himself in to authorities, according to Capt. Ron Oremus.
Anthony C. Gonzales turned himself in to a deputy with the on Thursday where he is being held on a felony warrant, Oremus said in an updated news release to media outlets.
Officers were called to the home Tuesday afternoon for a report of a domestic disturbance. Gonzales’ girlfriend had told officers he was possibly suicidal. The police department’s tactical unit was called in to clear the house during the standoff. Gonzales, however, was not in the home because he fled before police arrived.
