A few minutes later, officers with the Waukesha Police Department were at the residence. The woman the man had allegedly threatened and the man were both inside the home. The woman told the police the man was inside the home sleeping. She called the man and asked him to come outside. When he came out, the man didn’t comply with the officer’s orders and had his hand in his pocket while they were trying to take him into custody.

Fearing that the man was reaching for a weapon from his waistband, the officer shot him several times with beanbag rounds from a less lethal shotgun and tased the man, according to Captain Ron Oremus, of the Waukesha Police Department.
