Man Found With Marijuana After Treatment Court Hearing, Complaint Says

Waukesha County Jail staff found marijuana stashed in pants belonging to Steven B. Quigley, 36, according to a criminal complaint.

A 36-year-old Town of Vernon man is accused of bringing marijuana back to the Waukesha County Jail after attending alcohol treatment court.

Steven B. Quigley was charged Friday in Waukesha County Circuit Court with felony possession of marijuana. He faces up to 1-1/2 years in prison and $10,000 in fines if convicted.

A correctional officer found the marijuana in Quigley’s pockets when Quigley was being dressed in a jail uniform at 10 p.m. Thursday, according to the criminal complaint.

Quigley, who was taken into custody after receiving a positive breath test reading – a violation of alcohol treatment court, declined to give a statement to deputies investigation the marijuana possession allegations, the complaint states.
