Man Drives Reckless, Drunk and With a Knife

Suspect is pulled over near Anoka Avenue and Harding Avenue after squealing his tires and honking the horn before speeding down an alley, according to criminal complaint.

A 24-year-old Waukesha man is facing charges after he was caught squealing his tires and honking his horn while driving drunk with a knife in his pocket, according to a criminal complaint.

Christopher L. Wilson was charged in Waukesha County Circuit Court on Tuesday with one count of carrying a concealed weapon, one count of bail jumping and one count of third offense operating while intoxicated. If convicted, he faces up to 2 ½ years in prison and $22,000 in fines.

A Waukesha police officer was on patrol near Harding Avenue and Anoka Avenue heard a horn honk then tires squeals and a white truck speed through an alley. The officer immediately turned around and pulled over the truck.

Wilson was driving the truck and smelled of alcohol while telling the officer he knew why he was pulled over. He failed field sobriety test before refusing to submit to a Breathalyzer test.

Wilson was previously convicted of OWI in 2007 and 2009. He’s currently being held in Waukesha County Jail on $2,500 bond.
