Man Drives into People After Fight in Parking Lot

After being beaten up, the man drove his car into his attackers.

A man who was in fight with two men drove into the men and a woman while leaving the parking lot of  early Friday morning.

According to the police report, police received a call about a fight in the parking lot of Sporties at 1:27 a.m. Friday.

The victim of the fight got into his vehicle and, according to what witnesses told police at the time, drove through a group of people – two men who had been involved in the fight and a woman. The people left the scene but police found them in a nearby house on Grand Avenue. The three suffered minor injuries, according to police.

The driver was stopped by police minutes later near Tenny Avenue and Sunset Drive. Police observed that he was bleeding "pretty good" from the face, according to the police report.

The incident is in the early stages of investigation, Waukesha Police Captain Ron Oremus said. Depending on the investigation and referral to the district attorney’s office, the driver may face charges of causing injury by the intoxicated use of a vehicle or hit-and-run charges. The other combatants may face battery charges for the fight.
