Man Convicted in Waukesha Box Knife Incident

Man, 37, pleads no contest to charge of second-degree reckless injury.

A 37-year-old man pleaded no contest Monday to second-degree reckless injury and was convicted of stabbing another man last December, according to Waukesha County Circuit Court records.

Ruslan Zozulya will be sentenced at 1:30 p.m. Aug. 11.

Zozulya was taken into custody after the Waukesha Police Department responded to a residence in the 1900 block of Madera Court at 2:32 a.m. Dec. 1, according to the police department, after a caller stated that two men came to the door covered in blood. A second caller reported to police that the disturbance had been occurring for two hours.

The victim, who did not reside with Zozulya, was transported to Waukesha Memorial Hospital. Zozulya was arrested and police took a box knife into custody, according to police.
