Waukesha Man Charged With Stealing From Disabled Roommate

Suspect would withdraw $20 from the victim's bank account each time he would use the man's credit card to buy items for him, according to criminal complaint.

A 56-year-old Waukesha man is facing felony charges alleging he stole from his disabled roommate when he would run errands for him.

Bradley D. Dow was charged in Waukesha County Circuit Court last week with one count of identity theft for financial gain. If convicted, he faces up to six years in prison and $10,000 in fines.

According to the criminal complaint:

Police were called to the victim’s residence in the 400 block of Park Avenue in August after he noticed money was missing from his bank account. He told police he suspected his roommate Dow had taken the money while using the card to purchase items for the victim.

Dow admitted to police that he would withdraw $20 each time he used the debit card to purchase items for the victim, then use the money to buy alcohol.

He will make his initial appearance in court April 9.
