Man Charged With Stealing $11K in Metal from Work
Suspect took copper from Waukesha company in order sell it to scrap metal dealer, according to criminal complaint.
A Milwaukee man is facing charges after he was accused of stealing nearly $11,000 in copper while working at a Waukesha company.
George W. Seals, 47, was charged in on Friday with one count of theft valued at more than $10,000. If convicted, he faces up to 10 years in prison and $25,000 in fines.

Between May 13 and June 8, Seals stole $10,749 in copper while working at Accurate Specialties Inc., 570 Bluemound Road. On 10 separate occasions, Seals entered the building early in the morning using his employee key card and took copper from work stations.
The thefts were discovered after other employees noticed copper missing from their work stations and managers checked security cameras.

Seals admitted to the theft, saying he sold the metal for scrap in Milwaukee.
He’s currently being held in Waukesha County Jail on $2,000 cash bail.
