Man Charged With Selling Ecstasy to Police Informant

A 19-year-old Milwaukee man is facing charges after he was caught selling ecstasy to a police informant in Waukesha.

Sherman D. Richardson III was charged in Waukesha County Circuit Court on Thursday with one count of conspiracy to deliver designer drugs, one count of maintaining a drug trafficking place and one count of bail jumping. If convicted, he faces up to 19 years in prison and $70,000 in fines.

According to the criminal complaint:

In May 2011, police set up a drug deal with a police informant where Richardson and another man were to sell 10 ecstasy pills to the informant in the parking lot of a Waukesha business. The deal took place with the informant paying $150 for the drugs.

Another deal was set up with a police informant to buy more ecstasy from another man at a Waukesha apartment. The other seller said he had issues with the number of pills his supplier was supposed to give him, and Richardson’s car was seen by police near the apartment before the deal took place.

Richardson is scheduled to make his initial appearance in court July 2.
