Man Charged with Failing to Pay Child Support
Man allegedly failed to pay more than $31,000 in child support, according to criminal complaint.
A 40-year-old man is facing charges in after he failed to make child support payments for his daughter here since 2003.
According to the criminal complaint, Scott A. Erickson was ordered to pay child support of $300 per month starting March 1, 2003, but two years later he was back in court for failing to pay any money. He was sentenced at that time to serve 30 days in Huber jail, but the judgment was to be stayed on the conditions he pay the $300 per month payments plus another $100 per month towards the accumulated support payments.
In July, the child’s mother again reported she hadn’t received child support payments, which according to records totaled $31,639.

Erickson is charged with seven counts of failure to pay support. If convicted, he faces up to 24 ½ years in prison and $70,000 in fines.
