A 41-year-old Waukesha man is facing a felony charge after he hit a Waukesha County Mental Health Facility worker he thought to be the anti-Christ.
John W. Shegonee was charged in Waukesha County Circuit Court Thursday with one count of substantial battery. If convicted, he faces up to three years and six months in prison, and $10,000 in fines.
According to the criminal complaint, on May 28, Shegonee rang the doorbell of the mental health facility and when workers arrived he said he was waiting for a ride, but would not say from who and instead stared into the sky.

While being interviewed, the complaint states Shegonee made rambling statements and said the victim was the “anti-Christ” and needed to be taken care of.
