Jury Finds Sex Offender Guilty of Child Enticement

Dennis Marth, a former Waukesha resident, will be sentenced June 29.

Dennis Marth, 51, was free from supervision from a mental commitment after serving prison time multiple sex crimes against children for about six weeks when he followed young boys at a Hartland park on July 15.

Marth’s been in the Waukesha County Jail since August, and he will remain there for another month until he is sentenced June 29 on three felony child enticement charges. A jury found him guilty Wednesday night of the sex-related crimes.

Marth previously lived in Waukesha and more recently Sussex.

Hartland police found who were fishing on July 15, according to the criminal complaint. The boys told one of the officers Marth had asked them where the railroad tracks were even though he had approached them two days earlier and done the same thing.

Marth first told officers he had come visit the park because he grew up in Hartland and was drinking that morning. He later changed his story to say he had some drinks after working third shift and had come to the park to sober up, according to the complaint.

However, police found a mug with beer in his vehicle, along with half a bottle of whiskey. He had a blood alcohol level of 0.14 percent at the time of the incident, the complaint states.

Judge William Domina released Marth from a mental commitment detention in May 2011 that Marth has been on since 2000. Marth was previously living at 1216 Buena Vista Ave. since 2007.

Marth is convicted twice of molesting children, according to a 2007 Milwaukee Journal Sentinel article.

Marth unsuccessfully asked the Waukesha County Circuit Court to release him from supervision last summer.
