Impersonating Police Officer Doesn't Work Well for Woman

Waukesha Police Department calls from Aug. 16 through Aug. 18.

It’s not easy to threaten a person by impersonating a police officer when your target happens to live near the police department.

A man reported at 3:04 p.m. Friday in the 1200 block of Magnolia Drive, which is near the Waukesha Police Department, that he was going to be arrested in an hour for a fraud investigation by the Waukesha Police Department if he did not follow her orders.

The man asked the woman what the police department’s phone number was and she answered correctly. However, when she gave him the wrong address for the police department, he said he would walk over and speak to her supervisor. The woman told him at that point that she wouldn’t be able to meet with him.
