Heroin Overdose Leads to Charges Against Waukesha Woman

Woman, 21, found unconscious by her mother Friday morning after she shot up heroin, according to criminal complaint.

A 21-year-old Waukesha woman is facing felony charges after she overdosed on heroin inside her home.

Anastassia L. Lach was charged in on Monday with one count of felony bail jumping and one count of possession of drug paraphernalia. If convicted, she faces up to six years in prison and $10,500 in fines.

At 9:55 a.m. Friday, police were called to Lach’s home in the 700 block of Crestwood Drive after she was found unconscious in her room by her parents. Her mother told police Lach had been feeling sick earlier in the morning and was later found unconscious in her room.

Lach was revived by rescue workers and police found instruments inside her room commonly used to inject heroin.

She’s currently being held in county jail on $1,500 bond.
