Garage Fire Causes $35K in Damage

No injuries in fire on Joellen Drive.

No one was injured during a garage fire at a Joellen Drive duplex that caused $35,000 in damage Friday morning.

The Waukesha Fire Department was dispatched to 313/315 Joellen Drive after receiving a report of a fire at 6:15 a.m. The first unit was on scene by 6:20 a.m. to find the fire in a two-care detached garage. The fire was brought under control by 6:26 a.m.

The house was not damaged by the fire.

The garage was unoccupied at the time and there were no vehicles inside.  Two residents at this address were alerted to the fire and escorted out of the building without incident or injury.  No firefighters were injured as a result of this incident.

Fire and police investigators were on the scene and at this time the fire remains under investigation.  Total estimated damage is $35,000.
