Five Waukesha teens are facing felony charges after they set up an Eagle man in order to steal money and marijuana from him outside of an apartment building, according to a criminal complaint.

On April 5, Piltz and Friedel picked up the victim from Waukesha County Technical College and took him to Milwaukee so he could buy a large amount of marijuana using some of the money he collected from a life insurance policy.

The three purchased the drugs, went back to Waukesha where Piltz said he needed to make a couple of stops. He stopped at his apartment where he and Friedel got out and went inside to use the bathroom while the victim stayed in the car.

They drove to an apartment complex in the 100 block of Third Street where Piltz again parked his car and went into a building while Friedel and the victim stayed in the car. Moments later, Brown, Mitchell and Young showed up, brandished a gun and demanded money.

Friedel, who was in on the caper, was held while the victim was hit. The victim ran until he was tackled, hit again and robbed of at least $1,000 in his wallet outside the doors of the Salvation Army.

When police arrived, the victim was inside the facility and told them about the robbery and how Friedel was being held by the men. While officers were setting up a perimeter around the scene, they were informed five suspects were in custody.

Mitchell admitted to his role in the crime, saying they used an Airsoft BB gun to rob the man, then he took the marijuana and hid it in his room.

Piltz admitted to setting up the victim, saying he had been β€œbragging” about the money he was getting from a life insurance policy and he was annoyed with him, so they decided to take the money and drugs.

A preliminary hearing has been scheduled for April 26.
