Five Car Accidents in 1-1/2 Hours While Snow Is Falling

Five accidents were reported to the Waukesha Police Department between 9 p.m. and 10:30 p.m. Monday as the roads were slippery from the falling snow.

In other police department news:

  • An arrest was made after juvenile trouble was reported at Waukesha South High School, 401 E. Roberta Ave., at 8:06 a.m. Monday.
  • A male student was arrested for disorderly conduct at the Lauer Center, 1515 Paramount Drive, at 12:15 p.m. Monday.
  • A girl was arrested for disorderly conduct at the Lauer Center, 1515 Paramount Drive, at 12:59 p.m. Monday.
  • An arrest was made after a domestic disturbance was reported at 2:22 p.m. Monday in the 400 block of North Greenfield Avenue.
  • A group of juveniles at 3:18 p.m. Monday was reported to be walking from Waukesha South High School, 401 E. Roberta Ave., cursing and walking in front of cars. The group was gone before police arrived.
  • A person in the 1800 block of Shepherd Court reported at 3:45 p.m. Monday that he believed he was the victim of a fake lottery jackpot scam.
  • A car hit a building at 4 p.m. Monday in the 400 block of East Main Street in a hit-and-run accident.
  • A person reported at 5:05 p.m. Monday that someone broke onto a bus and discharged a fire extinguisher in the 2700 block of North Grandview Boulevard.
  • An intoxicated man was taken home after it was reported he was laying on the sidewalk at 8:25 p.m. Monday in the 1000 block of White Rock Avenue.
  • A woman reported her brother damaged her car following an argument but did not want to file a complaint at 8:46 p.m. Monday in the 400 block of North Moreland Boulevard.
  • An arrest was made after a man with a bloody face came into a store in the 600 block of East North Street at 9:53 p.m. Monday, stating he was a battery victim. Police determined it was a domestic incident.
  • A homeless woman was found sleeping behind a building in the 200 block of East Sunset Drive at 11:40 p.m. Monday. The woman had overstayed days at the homeless shelter and was looking to get to Madison. The woman was advised about bus schedules before being sent on her way.
  • A person was arrested on suspicion of drunken driving during a traffic stop at 11:46 p.m. Monday at West Moreland Boulevard and East North Street.
  • A person who had been warned about noise violations two weeks ago was cited after it was reported the person was playing a guitar too loud at 12:02 a.m. Monday in the 2100 block of Kensington Drive.
  • A person was warned for having a TV on too loud after a caller in the 100 block of Third Street reported a loud noise violation at 1:12 a.m. today.
  • A snowplow driver in the 300 block of Travis Lane reported at 4:04 a.m. today that he found the word "help" spelled out in snow in a parking lot. Police made contact with an employee, who admitted to writing the word in the snow because he was bored while smoking a cigarette outside.
