A New Berlin police officer pulled Teuteberg over for traveling 57 mph in a 35 mph speed zone at West Cleveland Avenue and Sunnyslope Road. Teuteberg told the officer she knew she was speeding but she was running late for court.

The officer noticed Teuteberg had a letter on the seat to Judge Kathryn Foster. The letter stated that she had a drug relapse and failed drug tests. In the letter, Teuteberg was asking the judge to place her in jail after she had a heroin relapse.

The officer took Teuteberg, who had fresh marks consistent with drug use, into custody on a warrant. When he searched her car, he found a syringe, tinfoil packages, needle caps, paper towel, cotton balls and two spoons.

Teuteberg also had a spoon and a tube of narcan in her purse. Narcan is a drug that reverses the effects of a heroin overdose.
