Drunk Man Asks Police to Fire 'Blind' Bus Driver; More Police Calls

Waukesha Police Department calls from May 31 through June 3 includes drunken drivers, aggressive security solicitors and pre-graduation vandalism pranks.

A man was attacked by four men at 2:41 a.m. Saturday at Arcadian and Oakland avenues, according to the Waukesha Police Department's call log.

The victim told police the men punched him, leaving him bloodied. One of the men implied he had a gun, the victim told police.

An ambulance was called to take the man to the hospital for a possible broken nose. The suspects have not yet been caught. They were not known to the victim, according to Capt. Ron Oremus.

Can Police Fire a Bus Driver?

An intoxicated man upset that a bus driver wouldn’t accept his disability pass called Waukesha police Friday evening, stating he wanted the bus driver fired.

The man felt the bus driver was prejudice against homosexuals and was blind, he told a responding officer at 7:03 p.m. Friday in the 1500 block of Big Bend Road.

The man was advised to contact Waukesha Metro Bus with his concerns.

Security Solicitors Arrested

For about two weeks, Waukesha police officers have received numerous phone calls about the aggressive tactics a security company was using during solicitation.

It appears their work in Waukesha is coming to an end. After the Waukesha Police Department ordered to give the employees zero tolerance when it came to violations in the city, two people were arrested on Saturday. The first arrest was made when a solicitor did not have a valid permit. The second solicitor was arrested after it was reported the solicitor was trying to coax his way in to a home.

Graduation Pranks?

It appears school spirit went to the point of vandalism.

The word “West” was found written with a Sharpie three times on a Waukesha North High School Northstars banner at 10:52 p.m. Sunday at the school. Several spraypaint cans were found nearby as well.

Security had chased out people from the football field early Sunday morning. The suspects dropped a can of spray paint at that time.
