Drugs Stashed in Weave, Crotch Lead to Charges, Police Say

Two Milwaukee residents face felony charges after Waukesha police officers say they were attempting to sell drugs to an informant, according to a complaint.

A Milwaukee man and woman face drug delivery charges after Waukesha police say the woman stashed marijuana in her weave, which is a hair piece, and heroin in her vaginal area, according to a criminal complaint.

Adrian T. Brown, 28, was charged Wednesday in Waukesha County Circuit Court with maintaining a drug trafficking place and conspiracy to deliver heroin. The woman, Quanesha Q. Clyburn, 22, was charged earlier in April with possession with intent to deliver heroin, possession with intent to deliver cocaine and possession of marijuana. Clyburn faces nearly 18 years initial confinement in prison if convicted, and Brown faces up to 11-1/2 years in prison if convicted.

An informant working with the Waukesha Police Department planned to purchase $900 in heroin from a drug dealer on April 2. However, the drug dealer drove past the parking lot where the controlled buy was planned and the dealer called the informant to change locations because the dealer thought he saw an undercover police officer, according to the complaint.

The dealer changed locations two more times and Waukesha police officers feared he would discover more police officers doing surveillance on him, so they contacted the vehicle and arrested everyone in the vehicle.

Clyburn was observed by a police officer trying to reach for her waistband and underneath the seat, so the police officer blanketed her arm and pulled her from the vehicle, the complaint states. A bag filled with 4.2 grams of heroin fell from her waistband as she was arrested.

When the woman was told a strip search would be performed, Clyburn asked if she could voluntarily turn over the drugs instead. She retrieved heroin from her vaginal area and marijuana from underneath her weave near the back of her head, according to the complaint.

Clyburn told police her friend had asked her for a ride to Waukesha and another man came with him. She told police the man gave her a bag and told her to hold it, so she placed it in her pants. She denied knowing anything about the heroin located when she was first arrested, as well as the marijuana found in her hair, the complaint states.

Another woman was found with marijuana in her bra. That woman told police she was going with Clyburn to get tattoos when two men entered the vehicle and told her they were getting money from someone in Waukesha. The woman denied knowledge of any drug transactions.

Brown was the driver of the vehicle when he was arrested. He told police the drug dealer under investigation had heroin and asked him to drive the last six blocks, which is when they were pulled over by police, according to the complaint.
