Drug, Weapon Sales Lead to Raid on Caroline Street, Complaint Says

Waukesha County Metro Drug Unit found 2,379.7 grams of marijuana, 40.7 grams of cocaine and $4,180 in the Waukesha home last week, according to a complaint.

Two Waukesha men face felony drug charges after selling marijuana, cocaine and a firearm with a silencer to a confidential informant working with the Waukesha County Metro Drug Unit, according to a criminal complaint filed in Waukesha County Circuit Court.

Raul H. Alonso, 36, was charged Friday with maintaining a drug trafficking place, possession of marijuana with intent to deliver and possession of cocaine with intent to deliver.  Otilio Benitez Gonzalez, 32, was charged Friday with three counts of delivering cocaine, two counts of maintaining a drug trafficking place, three counts of delivering marijuana, conspiracy to deliver cocaine and conspiracy to deliver marijuana.

Alonso faces up to 31-1/2 years initial confinement in prison if convicted. He remains jailed in lieu of $25,000 bail. Benitez Gonzalez faces up to 23 years initial confinement in prison if convicted. Benitez Gonzalez remains jailed in lieu of $50,000 bail.

A confidential informant working with a detective made plans to purchase cocaine and marijuana from Benitez Gonzalez. Together, they performed the following transactions, according to the complaint:

  • .5 grams of cocaine and 4.8 grams of marijuana for $100 on Feb. 12
  • 3.8 grams of cocaine and 27.9 grams of marijuana for $520 on Feb. 19

On March 18, the informant was going to purchase drugs, as well as a pistol, silencer and three magazines from Benitez Gonzalez. Benitez Gonzalez was not at the home in the 1000 block of Caroline Street where they were to meet, but Alonso handed over 3.4 grams of cocaine, 28.9 grams of marijuana and the weapon for $1,850, the complaint states.

On March 27, the confidential informant purchased 557.4 grams of marijuana and 28.8 grams of cocaine from Benitez Gonzalez for $4,300 at Alonso’s home in the 1000 block of Caroline Street. When the transaction was completed, officers executed a search warrant in the home, according to the complaint.

Detectives arrested Benitez Gonzalez and Alonso and located 2,379.7 grams of marijuana, 40.7 grams of cocaine and $4,180 in the home, according to the complaint.
