Driver Killed in Crash on Moreland Boulevard

Speed appears to be a factor in accident that remains under investigation by the Waukesha Police Department.

A driver in a two-car accident was killed early Sunday morning in a crash in the 1100 block of East Moreland Boulevard, according to Waukesha Police Sgt. Joe Hendricks.

The two cars crashed at 4:42 a.m. and one vehicle struck a tree, according to Hendricks. Speed appears to be a factor in the crash.

The other driver involved was transported to Waukesha Memorial Hospital for non-life threatening injuries, according to Hendricks.

The names of the two drivers involved not being released until police have notified family. The accident remains under investigation.

East Moreland Boulevard will be closed between White Rock Avenue and Manhattan Drive for several more hours, the release states.

The accident occurred near Murray Ave, Patch's media partners at WISN 12 News is reporting.
