'Don't %$&* Around in a Concealed Carry State'

An Oconomowoc man is accused of pointing a gun at a driver of a vehicle with Illinois plates during a road rage incident in Waukesha.

A road rage incident ended in Waukesha with an Oconomowoc man pulling a gun on a driver of a vehicle with an Illinois plate and yelling “that’s right, don’t (expletive) around in a concealed carry state,” according to a criminal complaint.

Michael J. Bukosky, 36, of Oconomowoc was charged Thursday with pointing a firearm at another. If convicted, he faces up to nine months in jail and $10,000 in fines.

According to the criminal complaint:

The Waukesha Police Department responded to North Grandview Boulevard and Silvernail Road after a road rage incident was reported at 6:35 p.m. Jan. 4. A caller reported he accidentally cut off a driver while exiting the freeway. The driver who was cut off was later identified as Bukosky, who drove in front of the man and slammed on his brakes.

As the two men were stopped at a red light, they started swearing at each other. Bukosky yelled at the driver, who was using his grandfather’s vehicle with Illinois plates, “I’m going to kick your ass to your state.”

When the man looked at Bukosky, Bukosky was pointing a black handgun at him, yelling “that’s right, don’t (expletive) around in a concealed carry state.”

The man pulled into a nearby Walgreens and drove around in the parking lot because he was afraid Bukosky would follow him. The man allowed police to search him and his vehicle, and police did not locate any weapons. The man told police he hasn’t possessed a handgun since he was 12 years old when he went hunting.

Waukesha dispatch received a phone call from Bukosky, who reported he thought the man pointed a handgun at him, which is why Bukosky pointed his gun at the man.

Bukosky told police he yelled at the man when he was cut off on the freeway, “We don’t drive like this in Wisconsin, go back to Illinois, you (expletive).”

Police recovered from Bukosky a Rueger handgun with a magazine containing seven rounds.

I'm sure this driver considered himself a respectable and a law abiding citizen.

Throw the book at him.

This guy is making us Concealed Carriers look bad. Never pull a gun unless you are prepared to use it. He may have used it as a threat, but what if the other guy was threaten and used his own (if he had one) to protect himself? They should make an example of him under… "No person may carry or display a facsimile firearm in a manner that could reasonably be expected to alarm, intimidate, threaten or terrify another person", unless on your own property or business, or that of another person with their consent. Statute 941.2965.

First, the article does not say whether or not Bukosky actually had a CCW permit. Also of note, Michael Bukosky is the husband of the late Jennifer Bukosky who was tragically killed in 2008 (along with her child and unborn child) in a car accident in Oconomowoc when she was hit by Dr. Mark Benson. Jennifer was a teacher I would think that Michael would certainly have more respect for life than what he showed here.
the 'sha guy February 04, 2013 at 10:15 PM
Another note of interest is that Michael Bukosky also signed the Walker recall petition.
Mr Lundt February 04, 2013 at 10:34 PM
I don't see where it discusses IF the idiot has a CC license. If he does---he should lose it.
Jerry Bean February 04, 2013 at 10:52 PM
Another true Walkersha #Patriot. He did nothing wrong. He is carrying out his rights and the intent of the law as passed. Just ask Paul Farrow. His mommy told him this is they type of patriotism we needed with concealed carry. And Dave Craig will salute this man for his patriotism and waving his gun around like a true conservative patriot!
the 'sha guy February 04, 2013 at 10:57 PM
Jerry, See my last post, the guy signed the Walker recall petition, which in part is why I questioned if he actually has a CCW permit. The article doesn't say. Either way, he is certainly not a Walker supporter. Your side can be proud of yet another crazy lefty.
Mr Lundt February 04, 2013 at 11:02 PM
Jerry blames any tragedy on the right. It's easier than thinking.
Keith Worst February 05, 2013 at 02:46 AM
I've got to ditto Mr. Bean. This is a true conservative patriot. Mr. Lundt, do you know for sure this is the same guy who signed the recall? I know you have your list of named names that you seem to be cross referencing to find out who is to be trusted, but have you asked Mr. Bukosky if he's the same person who signed the recall? Or those on the right claim 85% of all signatures are fraudulent. Does that mean someone forged this poor concealed carry man's name and now you're inhumanely attacking him for exercisings his basic constituitonal right to wave a gun at whomever he pleases? For shame sir. Have some respect for the 2nd Amendment and some respect for trying to push the craed conspiracy theories of the right.
the 'sha guy February 05, 2013 at 01:11 PM
It doesn't say if he has a cow permit or not. He absolutely is the one who signed the recall. Same address as on recall that is listed on the formal charges in court. Sorry, whether he has a CCW or not, the left owns this guy.
Kyle Current February 05, 2013 at 01:44 PM
Mr Bukowski lost his pregnant wife and his daughter when they were hit by a drunk driver. It is understandable thaf he does not appreciate poor driving. Not an excuse, but it does change the scope a bit.
Mr Lundt February 05, 2013 at 01:47 PM
Keith Worst I made no mention of the recall. This is the second time you have misquoted me drastically. Slow down and read . The funny thing is we usually agree so defending my self against words I never said is a waste of time. Take your time when posting and stop making unfounded assertions
Keith Worst February 05, 2013 at 02:04 PM
But she guy, how do you know he doesn't live with his dad and his dad has the same name? Or as has been claimed by the right that no one actually signed and it was all a farse, maybe someone forged his name and now you're disparaging the name of a right wing patriot who is exercising his right to wave a gun in the face of whomever he pleases like Scott Walker intended under the law?
the 'sha guy February 05, 2013 at 02:09 PM
@ Keith, Because I am intelligent and use the brain that God gave me. You should try using your brain if you are really as naive as your post indicates.
Dawnmski February 05, 2013 at 04:02 PM
There is A LOT of missing information in this article, including comments made by Bukosky and his side of the story, according to the JS reporting of the incident!! This article also fails to mention that Bukosky is reported as calling the police FIRST - not something that wouldn't typically happen if what he is accused of is true. What ever happened to innocent until proven guilty? Nobody knows what actually happened or what was said between the two. If it's found later that the other man is guilty and that Bukosky only pulled his gun in what he thought was a self defense situation, then do we get to rip apart that man's background? Go through his history to see why he acted the way he did? Leave Bukosky alone until you know what really happened. The man has been through enough.
Jaime Lannister February 05, 2013 at 05:31 PM
Adam, that statute that you posted deals with replica (i.e. facsimile) guns, not real ones...
Jaime Lannister February 05, 2013 at 05:32 PM
'sha guy, how did you draw the conclusion that only Walker supporters would get a conceal and carry permit?
Jaime Lannister February 05, 2013 at 05:34 PM
What could the other guy have said to justify this? Words do not usually justify the use or threat of deadly force...
Keith Worst February 05, 2013 at 05:49 PM
Incorrect Jamie. This is conservative country and conservatives believe it's your right to shoot who you wish and wave a gun whenever you please. That's the only way a decent society operates. I mean guns make us safer. Look at the inner cities. Tons of guns and safe as can be. And How about Afghanistan? Guns a plenty and it's very safe.
the 'sha guy February 05, 2013 at 07:18 PM
Keith Your rhetoric does nothing to make your point, rather it makes you look like an idiot. One could also say that Illinois is a liberal state and Chicago bans weapons, so it must be safe there, right? I mean people can't own weapons in the city, so how could anyone get shot? I mean gun laws make us safer. Look a the inner cities, gun bans in Chicago and it is as safe as can be.
Keith Worst February 05, 2013 at 08:56 PM
What rhetoric do you mean? I'm in agreeing with you. Look. Arming everyone means safety. And making sure to not do background checks or limiting the types of guns or whom can get them means even more safety. Look at Chicago. Guns aplenty on the South Side. Where are the murders? I see none. Just safety and patriots as far as the eye can see. And with Mr. Bukosky he just did was he was told to do. Sheriff Clarke in Milwaukee said if you feel threatened your best and only choice is to pull a gun. He clearly felt threatened by the Illinois driver, ergo he did was all patriots are supposed to do. Even Vickki McKenna dittoed this idea. And if Vickki is wrong, who wants to be right?
the 'sha guy February 05, 2013 at 10:00 PM
Again, your rhetoric and sarcasm show your adolescent thought process. Your post is filled with many inaccuracies and false statements about what people stated. However, I'm not going to waste any more of my time responding to someone with as little insight and maturity as you show. If you don't like the 2nd amendment, feel free to leave.

Some where between the intersection and the Walgreen's is laying a cheap Saturday Night Special, maybe. It's not the first time though that finger pointing has been mistaken for a gun. Public school teachers are even turning grade school kids in for gun gesturing with their hands. Nothing more entertaining then being entertained by knee jerking vigilanti gun grabbing Democrats grabbing at smoke. GUN'S DON'T MURDER 3,000 PRE-BORN PRE-SCHOOLER'S DAILY IN THIS COUNTRY...DEMOCRAT POLICIES DO.

Keith Worst February 07, 2013 at 10:41 PM
But it could. Under Castle Doctrine it's now free and legal to shoot a pregnant woman as long as you feel your life is in danger and it's within your own home. And "feel" is all you need under the guise of the law. We had it implemented in Wisconsin so now the Texas Divorce is all good and legal.

Concealed carry DUMBO is not for doing this! This anger is inexcusable. Grow up Michael B..........
gg February 08, 2013 at 10:24 PM
Give me a break. this Buosky needs anger management or a good spanking.
