On Oct. 19, the two men broke into another man’s home in the 2000 block of Norton Avenue and stole a Xbox and video games and left, but not before a neighbor spotted them in a van in the area.
Police interviewed Qureshi a month later and he told investigators he had gotten into an argument with the victim about a marijuana sale where the victim tried to overcharge him. Two days later, Qureshi said tires on his girlfriend’s car and grandmother’s car were slashed and he thought the victim was responsible for the damage. He then went to the victim’s house and got into a physical altercation.
